Here's one of the more complex websites Hinds Consulting has built. This is a customer relationship management solution for a financial services company.
They wanted a single web interface they could use to maintain their supplier and customer relationships. What's more, certain vendors would not work with certain suppliers,
so they also wanted a way to track the acceptable relationship combinations so that employees don't mistakenly set one up. The site is protected behind a username and password
combination, and you can use username: demo password: demo for this site.
This site was created for the City of Dallas. This is a brochure-style website that provides basic information about a dog park in Dallas. In addition to hours, location, etc, this site allows
visitors to the site to quickly determine if the park is currently open or closed. Since the park closes for maintenance and inclement weather, the site has a user-supported mechanism where visitors
can inform other visitors of the park's status. For example, if a someone drives by the park and notices that it is closed, he/she can go to WhiteRockDogPark.com and click on the c to change
the status to closed. It also has photos from the dog park in a special photos section. Hinds Consulting created this site pro bono for the City of Dallas to increase animal awareness and support.
Here's a simple site created for a few different photographers and painters. They wanted a simple, clean site that would allow their customers to find them and see some of their work. The additional requirement was that they wanted to modify the images displayed without knowing HTML or how to size images for optimal web display. This site has a web interface behind the scenes that allows the artist to customize the order and number of images displayed on the site. Of course, this demonstration is a generic design, and all images are copyright 2006 by Chris Hinds.
This is another site developed for artists that mimics the traditional, book portfolio style. This artist wanted to use the internet to present art online to make distribution of the portfolio easier but also wanted the feel of a traditional approach. On the final page of the portfolio, the artist wanted a way for customers to contact the artist. Although this website still has the contact form, it does not function. This site has been sanitized to protect the identity of the artist by request. All art in the portfolio is copyright 2006 by Chris Hinds, and the best way to contact him is here, not using the form in this sample site.
A third showing in the artist portfolio series shows a "green" approach to showing this artist's portfolio. The web visitor is immersed in a fantasy that includes earthy colors and whimsical music. The visitor can browse the artist's portfolio or learn about rates/fees/etc. This site has also been sanitized, so lorem ipsum text is visible in part of this site.
This is a DFW magazine with 100,000 copies distributed each month. They were looking for a classy
web solution that provided their customers with the look and feel of the magazine and provided the editors with a mechanism to regularly update the site without hiring a full-time web developer. We chose
an open-source content management solution for them and developed the site in that framework. The magazine editors are happy because they can manage their online content, and their advertisers are happy
because they have an additional touchpoint through which they can reach an audience.
This is a dog rescue organization active on Petfinder. They wanted to improve their image on their Petfinder presence, but Petfinder has an interesting requirement: all information must be presented on a single webpage. By creating an internal navigation system, this site allows its visitors to understand more about SPIN and its mission to help Great Pyrenees find loving homes. Hinds Consulting created the top banner and holds the copyright on the top three photos. The remaining photos are property of SPIN.
Cruise travel is the fastest growing travel segment today. However, one underserved segment is the luxury cruiser.
Although cruise lines have serviced the luxury traveler, they haven't successfully transported those customers to and
from the boat in the style they expect. CroozInStyle.COM helps bridge the gap, and they wanted an online presence
that allowed that luxury segment to learn more about their service. This brochure style site has been created with
exacting specifications and requirements in mind. Hinds Consulting can create websites to your exacting specifications, too.
On the site, notice the man in the top hat gives various bits of advice to the site visitor even without interaction from the visitor.
